Am I responsible for paying my own attorney's fees and costs?

Client's do not pay anything. All costs and fees are paid from the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.

Unlike civil lawsuits, where lawyers are paid on a contingency fee basis, in the Vaccine Program, any settlement or damages decision is awarded in full to an injured party. Attorneys’ fees and costs are paid separately from the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program – the same fund that pays the injured party’s compensation. Therefore, not only are you not required to pay anything up front, you also keep every penny of compensation.
